My first Mother's Day was great! It was so much fun to celebrate being a mom!! Andrew and Gavin treated me to a whole weekend of events! It started Saturday with flowers and a trip to the lilac festival. For those of you in Florida that might not know what lilacs are-they are one of my favorite flowers and smell sooo good!! The festival is at a park with beautiful hills full of lilac trees. The air smells so good! It was so nice!
Sunday morning I was greeted with breakfast in bed and gifts!! Then in the afternoon we all enjoyed a family nap together!! It was a fun weekend!
My favorite....chocolate chip pancakes!!
Gav gives the lilac fest two thumbs up!!
Gavin wanted some funnel cake!!
"Ohhh...what's this?!!"
We've gone from piggies in the sand to piggies in the grass!
He discovered the grass for the first time (it's the first chance he's had!), he loved it!

Binghamton Visit
We went down to Binghamton where Marie's family lives (2 1/2 hours away) for the weekend. It was so much fun for all of us to be together since Nathan just moved back from school in Jacksonville. We had a blast hanging out Saturday night for dinner. All the siblings and "significant others" were there! And as usual, the instruments were whipped out and funny songs were sung. We have never laughed so hard!! It reminds us of why we moved back here!!
While we were there my mom and sisters taught Gavin to shake his head back and forth when you say "shake shake shake"!! I can't even believe he does it!! I noticed he was intentionally shaking it last week and then I left him for a couple of hours and came back to him understanding how to do it on command! He's a genius!!

Andrew and a few of my brothers did a part of my parent's roof while we were there.
